Bihar Universities New SEC Course 2026 : Bihar Raj Bhavan has officially announced the Bihar Universities New SEC Course 2026 in alignment with the National Education Policy NEP 2020. The official notification was released on 04 July 2026 and this new Skill Enhancement Course SEC named Cryptic Crosswords has been approved for all State Universities of Bihar implementing the NEP 2020 four year CBCS UG Programme.
This course is applicable for UG students of BA, B.Sc, B.Com and other four year CBCS syllabus programmes from academic session 2026 onwards. The course carries 2 to 3 credits and can be offered in any semester up to a maximum of Semester IV as per university norms.
The teaching method includes classroom learning, practical exercises, crossword activities and assignments with main topics covering cryptic crossword basics, clue types, wordplay, vocabulary building, logic and puzzle solving. The evaluation is based on internal assessment and end semester examination.
